District 4 deserves a council member who understands local business, community organizations, and how to make city government work for residents. Here’s where I stand.

1  Fiscal Responsibility & Transparency

Santa Paula’s finances need honest attention, not wishful thinking. I’ll push for clear budget reporting, healthy reserves, and spending decisions residents can actually follow — before problems become crises.

2  Safer, Better-Maintained Streets

Measure R and Measure T dollars are already funding street repairs citywide. I’ll make sure District 4’s neighborhoods and commercial corridors get their fair share, on a schedule residents can see and hold the city to.

3  Fair, Predictable Water & Sewer Rates

Utility bills shouldn’t blindside families. I’ll insist on transparent rate-setting, Prop 218 compliance, and real consideration of subsidies for seniors and low-income households before any increase moves forward.

4  Steady Leadership Through Transition

With a City Manager transition ahead, the city needs continuity and a smooth process — not political drama. I’ll bring the same steady, collaborative approach I use running local organizations to keep the city on track.

5  Local Business, Jobs & Sales Tax Growth

As a chamber of commerce executive, I know what it takes to keep local businesses open and attract new ones. I’m prioritizing general retail and manufacturing to bring in the sales tax revenue this city needs — not recreational cannabis retail, which I don’t believe is in the community’s best interest right now.

6  Protecting Local Healthcare

Santa Paula Hospital doesn’t meet the state’s 2030 seismic requirements, putting local care at risk. I’ll push the county to follow through on a real replacement — including the proposed East Area 2 medical campus — so residents don’t lose access to care close to home.

7  Public Safety & a Fair Fire Contract

I’d like to revisit our county fire contract and see if there’s an opportunity to renegotiate a better deal for Santa Paula — and back a police department with the resources to serve this city with integrity.

8  Growing Tourism & Economic Development

Agriculture is still core to who we are, alongside a historic downtown and a story visitors want to see. I’ll champion our Tourism Improvement Plan and downtown business district to turn more day-trippers into overnight stays and repeat visitors — bringing outside dollars into our local shops and restaurants.
